I have so many thanks, I dont even know where to start. Who knew that when one little rescue pup goes missing, AT LEAST 100 people would spring into action. What an amazing thing to witness. The DOZENS of people that drove around (often for hours and again the next day, often despite seeing nothing), Everyone in the area that took the time to call in sightings (close to 30) The people who just happened to see her trot by their homes, and suddenly became completely devoted members of the team, without question. Everyone who was actively flyering, postering, sharing (including OVLPN), tweeting, and good old fashion talking to people on the street. The vet clinic at the center of her adventures… where we all peed. :P And, I haven’t told the full story yet, but it was the vet that saw her today, which two hours later resulted in her being caught. The people in the area that, when asked if we could search on their property responded with: I’ll get the lights; I’ll put food out for her tonight; why not set up the trap here; or can I put on a bowl of soup/coffee for you? The OPP officer that was out looking anytime she was in the area – truly caring. The experienced people that gave expert advice from as far as Alabama, and as close to home as Ottawa, AND lent us equipment, including on 10 minutes notice. :) And I know I am forgetting so much! Penny (Lotus) came from a downright shitty past. She was timid with people at the best of time. But that SO many people so lovingly searched for her, hoped for her safe return, and left her meals at night, you can only imagine how full her heart must be tonight…
