I have some bad news to report. Unfortunately, that person Crystal Davis, who was beating the drum, trying to raise money via go fund me, is not a real person. After I mentioned raising money on the internet under false pretenses, and especially a fake name, is a crime, the person took off for a day. Crystal came back today, and admitted it is a fake name, with yet another story. The bottom line is I dont trust her. She lied to me once, and solicited money. I dont know if she is even connected to the woman who is in trouble, or not. If she thought she was helping, by making up a fake name, she was not helping. All she did is plant the seeds of doubt in the minds of generous people, with her hard sell, and fake persona. Im not going to file a police report, because I didnt give money, and therefore am not a victim...the hard sell stunk to high heaven from the start. When someone tells you there are no avenues open from groups, churches, or social services, it is not a correct statement. Many agencies work with the homeless, and near homeless, and help is there. So when you hear that, get a grip on your wallet, because something is not right. Go Fund Me is a fine organization, but does not do due diligence on those who are putting in requests for funding. Giving cash is always risky, except to ESTABLISHED charities, and outreach organizations. Be generous, be kind, but also be smart. Before anyone posts go fund me in here, please PM an administrator, and get permission. We are going to ask for proof of who you say you are for starters..... Bob
