I have some good news for crime victims. House Bill 492 has been sent to the governor. This legislation gives crime victims a stronger voice by allowing them, or their representative, to appear personally before the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole and provide testimony in connection with an inmate’s application for parole. It also allows victims to appear by any electronic means made available by the board, such as video conference.
