I have some very sad and disappointing news: I worked very hard to get the Town Council to agree the following, In principle to support a community purchase of Down House site and undertake a public consultation and investigate a joint venture purchase of the site. I have now found out that at next weeks meeting four of our Town Councillors have signed a motion to reverse the above decision. I cannot understand how they can be serving the best interests of the town by blocking consultation with our residents, and wont even investigate whether Down House is affordable. Knowing that two Councillors who supported the above decision will be away the Mayor and I will be easily outvoted. I have tried my best to get this opportunity for you and I feel cheated. You may do too. Are they representing your best interests?
