I have someone in my life (well not actually in my direct life by their choice) who has been purposefully silent and I can tell you it is hurtful. Most of the time I can remember it is not about me, but about their lack of ability to be present and honest, but sometimes (and usually in the middle of the night) I am very sad about this. The worst part is when you reach out to honestly share your heart and your resources and it is slapped away with silence. Thank you to Jeff Brown for articulating what I have also been saying, but in a much better way!!
