I have something to say about shelters and rescues since yet another friend has gotten the short end from one and this happens all to frequently honestly shelters and rescues are dumping sick and unstable pets all the time. They claim dogs are vetted and temperament tested then they mysteriously get sick or attack someone when they get to their new home. People think they are saving money or doing a good deed and get royally screwed. It just floors me when people complain about the cost of a well bred pup and then wind up spending hundreds or thousands to fix a dog the got that great deal on. In the end a dog is a dog is not true at all . I am glad you took care of this pup but it is not fair that people get so screwed by the rescues and shelters that portray the animals as something they are not and get away with it while a breeder who puts a ton of time and money into a well bred healthy stable litter would cover this under a guarantee and if they did not could be sued . BTW well bred is not a mix of 2 breeds in a cute picture well bred means the parents have been health tested and pedigrees are researched along with the dogs being shown and approved as breeding stock and registered not some random doodle mix or puggle or whatever cute name people made up for them those are mutts plain and simple and down the road just feeds the shelter issue, when I was a kid our poodle got pregnant from a lab and we gave those MUTTS away .Think about it should you not have the right to decide before hand what you are getting into before you are being held an emotional hostage, Don`t you thinks shelters and rescues which incidentally are becoming big business now should be held accountable for what they are doing ???
