I have spent alot of money on our dog Rambo. He has allergies to the grass and whatever all is outside even though he is indoors. Tried predisone shots, vinegar, allergy spray from vet all to no avail. Two nights ago he was miserable and I thought to myself, my mom always used corn starch for itchies, why couldnt I try this, am sure it wont hurt him. I wiped down his belly and legs with cold wash cloth, then dried him. Then I just applied a small amount of corn starch to see if he would stop digging, it worked! Today I rinsed him off again then dry and sprinkled corn starch on areas. He has not scratched any and is sleeping like a baby. I also give him 2 benedryl in morning and 2 at night. Bath oatmeal shampoo every 3 weeks. Make sure you dry pet off before applying the corn starch, keep the sight as dry as you can because the moisture makes them itch more. This could probably be used on other animals also, I would check with vet though. A happy dog makes a happy owner.
