I have spent the better part of my life, trying to figure out why people think and act the way they do. I have discovered that the best way to drive yourself insane, is to analyze other peoples thoughts and actions, and to try to make them understand yours I have concluded that its not me, its you. I know, its not me. Its the rest of you. Can that many people be wrong? Youre damn right they can! This reminds me of a story....... One time when I worked in the Godforsaken printing trade, there was this guy named Tommy.( I am using an alias for the sake of anonymity). Well, Tommy was a good hard worker, he tried his best, but he just wasnt up to par. We had weekly manager meetings, and during those meetings, we discussed Tommy. How can we get Tommy to perform the way we needed him to? He tried hard, he just wasnt up to par. Well, we tried many different approaches and many different training techniques, nothing seemed to work. After a couple of months, during one of our weekly meetings, Tommys name came up again. Everyone put their two cents in, what if we try this ......what if we try that............Finally I stood up and said, Did any of you idiots think for one minute, that Tommy just isnt smart enough? You are trying everything in the world to make Tommy learn, instead of just accepting the fact, that he just isnt smart enough!! The panel unanimously agreed, and we just accepted Tommy for what he was- A dummy. This being said, I refuse to argue with any of you people anymore. While I still have an ounce of sanity left, the same way I gave up on Tommy, I am giving up on you. When you do or say something stupid, I will not argue, I will not try to make you understand. No, instead, I will just say, Oh, ok. Thats the same as calling you Tommy
