I have spent the last two years working for the Massachusetts - TopicsExpress

I have spent the last two years working for the Massachusetts Department of veteran services SHARP team which we utilized the housing first approach and provided wrap-around services to those veterans homeless in the community. This approach works better than anyone would have imagined. It worked so well that our contracts were not renewed on September 15th and I have spent my first week of unemployment with a lot of time to reflect on the implications this will have on the veterans in the community. Im not writing this looking for sympathy for the loss of my position but yet for the loss of a vitally important service needed in our veteran community. Just my 2 cents.....
