I have stood by a incubator for hours on end. I have watched a tiny 1lb 4.5oz baby girl grow. I have trusted the medical staff one hundred percent. I have allowed a surgeon to cut on my tiny miracle girl. I have paced the hallways in sorrow and fear. I have slept upright in a hospital chair. I have listened to the beeping of monitors and been thankful. I have witnessed a premature baby fight for her life with each breath. I have experienced the worst rollar coaster in the world, one filled with so much stress. I have seen so much and been able to do so little. I have smiled through the tears and found strength when there wasnt any left. Through it all I have figured out a mothers love is the fuel that enables a normal human being to do the impossible. I have also come to the realization that some people never get to meet their hero...I gave birth to mine!
