I have struggled to define what is a hero. It is used for just about every act of courage. You ask a soldier, a cop or a firemen, or the guy who just happened to be there, and they will disclaim any title of hero. So here is my personal definition, An act of extraordinary deed performed by the ordinary person. Yea they were just doing there jobs, the job of forfeiting life so I can have the grandchildren they will not have, the love they might have missed, and the words they didnt intend to go unsaid. We must lock arms and pledge that no political schemes or foreign powers, no hatred or unfounded bias, no selfishness or cowardice - Nothing will take away the great nation they died for.
