I have struggled with making this post tonight because I know the power of prayer and we need it. I did not realize when the housekeeper, who speaks only Spanish, came into our room today and prayed with me that I would need that prayer 4 hours later. This afternoon a cyst was found on Jennas windpipe. I knew she sounded as if she needed a breathing treatment but I was waiting on ENT to clear her. They did not clear her, rather God allowed us to be here to catch the cyst. She is scheduled for surgery tomorrow A.M. To remove the cyst and it repair the damage that the intubation tube from the vent caused. We ask you to pray for Gods divine will in this situation. Honestly, they have given us the full spectrum of things that could occur. We are not delighting in the negative because that does not give glory to God. We know it is in his hands. He knows our desire is to heal Jenna completely and have no complications or repercussions from all of this sickness. We know that God delights in giving us the desires of our hearts if we pray earnestly and never give up. Thus, we have left this situation at the feet of Jesus and know that if he loved us to die for us then he is using Jenna and our family in a way that is unknown at this time. As a mother, I ask that you pray for Spencer Johnson, Xander and Abigail. They miss their mom deeply and now that Shane has returned to the hospital they are enduring heartache and worry. They need blessed assurance that God is with them and we will be together again one day soon. So prayer warriors pray, invest in your relationship with the Lord and glorify his name because we know that he will heal Jenna.
