I have students available for placement this JANUARY to JUNE anywhere in the UNITED STATES: Please let me know if you know someone who could host..... there is no payment for this. What you offer is a place to sleep (must be a bed), a place to study in your home (a kitchen table is fine) and meals when they are at your house. They will have their own spending money and health insurance. Here are 3 students profiles....there are many more.... Hannah-Louisa from GERMANY, Age 15 Hannah is an independent, uncomplicated and responsible teenager. She has no problems to find friends and to adjust to a new environment. Classmates, friends and teachers like her very much because she is quiet, well balanced with a great sense of humor and always willing to help others. In her free time she likes to meet friends, listen to music, especially to pop, soul, and R’and B’. She also likes to read, write, play the piano and is interested in acting. For sports she likes to play Badminton, athletics and swimming. She is a member of a "Church of Action" team in her church that organizes congresses for children and helps prepare food for them. Hannah’s English skills both in speaking and writing are excellent as she attends a bilingual branch of her school where she has been taught several subjects in English. She is a reliable and well-mannered student and popular among classmates. She can adapt to new situations without any problems and has a positive influence to people close to her. Her main reason for coming to the USA is to get to know new people, new culture and a different way of life. She is also looking forward to improving her English skills and can’t wait to meet her American family. Elisabeth from AUSTRIA, Age 15 Elizabeth is sociable, open-minded and a responsible student. Elisabeth loves dancing, music and playing piano. She shows her interest in dancing especially ballet and jazz, since she was five years old . She is a member of a dancing group and in 2012 participated in an Austrian and European championships and this year attended a championship in Croatia. For sports she likes to go swimming, cycling, playing volleyball, surfing and in winter ice skating, skiing and snowboarding. She has been a scout for five years and enjoys nature, outside activities like hiking, sleeping in tents and cooking. In her free time she likes reading and going to the movies and on weekends going swimming and meeting her relatives and friends. She likes fashion and enjoys looking and browsing at fashion magazines. Elizabeth is a highly motivated person, lively and ambitious. She is a team player and teachers appreciate her because of her cooperation and reliability. For two years she has been elected class representative and is a member of the environmental team. She is looking forward to attending an American high school, an American football or basketball game. But mainly to get to know the American way of life, learn about the culture and improve her English skills. Tom from GERMANY, Age 16 Tom is a bright and pleasant person to be with. He has a nice sense of humor with very good social skills. He is an excellent student, is self-confident, enjoys discussions and likes challenge. Tom likes studying and learning English and speaks very well. He likes playing tennis and soccer and is a member of a soccer and tennis club in his village. He also plays trumpet and in his free time he enjoys going shopping, to the movies and spending time with his friends after school. He lives together with his mom and stepfather and stepsister. He has a good relationship with his family, live in a house with a big garden and his grandmother lives next door to them. He helps with household chores and common hobbies with his family are skiing and playing tennis. He has few and not very serious problems at home, is very tidy and likes to have things in order. Tom is very bright, communicative and interested in life in the US. He would like to study law and become a judge or notary. He is looking forward to learning a different culture, traditions and way of life and thinks that participating in the exchange program will be a great learning experience for him.
