I have such a busy, busy week ahead. Praying at the city council - TopicsExpress

I have such a busy, busy week ahead. Praying at the city council meeting tonight, checking on my brother later, two Christmas parties this week and trying to finish up Christmas shopping for the family! Some may see all of this as a problem. It seems we never have enough time for life anymore since I stay so busy. But, I realize the problems we have are sometimes not given a quick relief or response right away from God, like we want to happen. Usually God is trying to build in us true, honest faith and confidence that what is happening to us is part of the His greatest purpose. That simply is glorifying His Son, Jesus Christ! This same grace that gets us through each day was the power that held Him to the cross and kept him there until the work of love was done. What if, while He was suffering such a horrible death, He asked to be brought down? He could have done that so easily, by calling legions of angels to help Him. His complete work of Love and Mercy for us was said and done by the fact that He endured until the end of it all! He suffered through beatings, crucifixion and death for us and yet we whimper over some of our insignificant issues such as sickness or finances, which to us would seem a big thing, but in the spiritual world they are only superficial. We sometimes have to endure our hardships in order for His perfect work in us to be completed too. No matter how hard it may seem or how much you think you can’t take another minute of your trial, just remember this, what He did to complete His suffering, in order for Him to complete what He can do for YOU! Faith upholds us through all our trials, by assuring us that every painful “privilege” we have is under the direction of the Lord! Tests are a sign of His love and the season, measure, and continuation of your trials, are appointed by God’s Wisdom, and designed to work for His everlasting good! Grace and strength will be provided to you, according to your need! Faith is continued by looking at Christ, crucified and risen, not by turning from Christ only to analyze your faith. Don’t put a question mark where God as placed a period! Saying all that, for my many friends out there who are going through tough times I want to say that God is right along-side you, even though you may not see Him or feel His presence, He is! No trouble can come so near that God is not nearer. The trials you are going through are nothing more than an opportunity in disguise for you to move to another spiritual level. It’s not the load that weighs you down but, its the way you carry it. Give it to Him! Having Jesus is no security against lifes storms, but He is perfect security while we are in them! We must remember that the reason the school of life is so tough is that we get the test first and the lessons later but, HIS grace will enable us to “face the music” even if we don’t like the tune! God bless you all! Have an AWESOME Day!
