I have such strong opinions and so much to say about them that I work myself into heated debates on the regular. I used to be embarrassed about this trait, but Ive come to realize its because I feel PASSIONATELY about the things I speak about. To have enough passion and gumption to stand up and speak up is a good thing and we need more of it. Im proud that Im not afraid to speak my mind, whether people agree with me or not, I have the courage to speak up about things I care about. The ones who cant and dont stay silent, are the ones who can do something about helping those who arent as comfortable speaking up about topics they identify with, whatever those topics/issues are. We need more people who are willing to take a stand and speak their minds, voicing their opinions, and to bring awareness to those who arent necessarily refusing to learn about whats going on, but just dont know where to look for information. We need more people to speak up and to help make a change. Sometimes thats all that is needed to spark a fire in someone else that makes them want to take initiative and do something proactive to make a change. It doesnt matter how big or how small you think your particular issue is, addressing the problem at hand with passion in your heart and a desire to change it will always be whats needed in successfully altering the outcome of whatever youre fighting for. Strive to be larger than yourself, show others that its ok to be involved in something outside of their own lives, encourage others to included themselves in a cause that makes them feel they can make a difference. Be the change you want to see in the world. Because really, what is life if you dont involve yourself in something larger?
