I have taken a lot of flack in recent days at my public stand regarding the poor euthanasia rates at the Ipswich Pound. I did not accept a euthanasia rate of 50% when council operated the pound. I pushed for the AWL to take over and I am now disappointed that they have, despite their ability to do so, not made any improvement. They have not satisfactorily explained why? The interim provider demonstrated that it can be done.
