I have taken some time to let it all sink in. I am one EXTREMELY proud Mommy! We had the opportunity to bring in an expert, Susan Norwell, to teach us how to teach the Tobii (Marnies communication device) to Marnie. We didnt know where to start. Mrs. Norwell had her reading books, answering questions, telling us she knew the meanings of words. Marnie even formed a question while doing her writing. She asked, Am I layz? Well, that brought tears to my eyes! My daughter is anything but lazy! She works so hard every day! This has opened doors and proved to everyone that she is in there. She just cant get out. The way she looked at me that night as we put her to bed was priceless. It was a look like Mom, you FINALLY get me after 11 years! And now I can FINALLY tell you what I think and feel! It was an AMAZING day in the Andreski household! We are DEFINITELY moving in the right direction. I am so excited to see what all she is capable of. To anyone who has or knows a Rett girl, these girls are bright! Do NOT count them out simply because they are silent. They are taking everything in! Be mindful of what you say in front of them. They DO understand. Marnie, your future is BRIGHT! Im excited to share it with you! I love you my sweet girl!
