I have talked with several people regarding what we can do to deal with the large number of unwanted/homeless cats that go through Morgan County Animal Controls shelter every week. Im not sure that any one person has THE answer to that question, but I would like to have an open meeting to discuss the possibility of a Trap/Neuter/Release (TNR) program in Morgan County. I have reserved the commission room in the Jacksonville Municipal Building at 200 West Douglas, Jacksonville, Illinois, for TUESDAY, August 19, 2014, at 6:30 p.m.. Please SHARE this to help spread the word to get word to those who are truly interested in helping control the number of cats who go through the shelter weekly. Please attend this meeting if you think you can contribute thoughts, wisdom, volunteer your time to help, offer other solutions (besides killing the cats - that will never be an option for me) and be a productive part of helping to reduce the number of unwanted cats in Morgan County. So I can determine how many people will attend, please comment if you will plan on being at this meeting. Thanks in advance for sharing this and helping homeless cats.
