I have the entire Band of Brothers series on DVD, but I AM - TopicsExpress

I have the entire Band of Brothers series on DVD, but I AM recording the counterpart companion HBO Series, The Pacific about the Marines in WWII. Band of Brothers is about the 101st AirBorne in the European Theatre against the NAZIs, who fought in Sicily, the D-Day invasion of Normandy, and Won the Battle of the Bulge, throwing back the German Wehrmacht & SS in Belgium against overwhelming odds, during Hitlers final last push during Christmas of 44. The Screaming Eagles are my Regimental affiliation, that I am proud to have served in, and with, including Operation Just Cause, and on the DMZ of North Korea, along with Grandpa Ed Livek, also a Combat Paratrooper in the 101st, who jumped and fought in Italy. The Pacific miniseries showing this weekend, personifies the actions of my Grandpas Ray & Vito, both who were Marines in battles such as Tarawa, Iwo Jima, Okinawa, and Guadalcanal. Their jungle and Naval operations overthrew the Japanese Empire, and was some of the most brutal fighting of the War. Also, I miss and Respect Grandma Mildred, U.S. Navy 2nd LT, RN, and the only Officer in the Family, who did her part caring for the wounded from the Pacific Theatre. I love and respect them, and all those in uniform from every Branch, and the blood they shed to give us the freedoms we have today, especially the 1st and 2nd Amendments. Im Proud to be linked to their Brotherhood, during the terrific challenges they faced in fighting aggression, and honored I was able to serve our Country in some small part, joining me, with them, forever. From the American Revolution to the terrible brother upon brother slaughter of the U.S. Civil War, to trench warfare, machine guns, and horrid use of Artillery placed mustard and Cyanide gases in WWI. From the forgotten War of Korea, in bitter, icy Mountains, and who lost comparable U.S. Army and Marines in 3 years, than in 10 years of the sweltering jungles of Vietnam, and up through skirmishes, actions, and occupations (I shant name them all here; those who know, KNOW...), that have come since, culminating in Afganistan, the longest War in United States History, I hear by Honor with deepest respect and thanks to those who gave some, and the the true Heroes, Those who gave All.
