I have this confusion toward this modern cutesy-core thing. There are a bunch of bands whose appear to be about 16-20 with tattoo sleeves and way more stage makeup than Motley Crüe ever wore that appear to be attempting to emulate death metal mixed with HxC core from like 10 years ago. With synths. Their songs seem to normally be about being angry at an ex girlfriend, or about punching a guy in the face. I dunno, man... when death metal was a thing and they talked about violence I remember the bands being kind of actually frightening. They were usually big hairy guys that (to draw a reference that I hope you will get) may or may not have glued cornflakes to their face. These were guys that you were really scared might jump off the stage and bash your brain in with their guitars. These new bands just make me kind of tilt my head in a confused puppy way, blink 3 times, and walk away. Kids these days dont know about music. Am I just old? I think I might be old. Dammit, Im old.
