I have this weird idea for a unique tour. (it sounds really lame at first, but hear me out) **THIS IS COMPLETELY HYPOTHETICAL**** Id want to basically do a house party tour. Have fans participate in a raffle for a chance to have the band play at their house. The raffle would help generate some income to cover tour expenses. (hold on, let me finish!). The band would pick a random name from each city and those people would have the band come to their house to play a show. There would obviously be stipulations: 1. Winners must be 21+ and have proof of their name on the lease OR written permission from the home owner to allow us to come 2. The winners would have to prove that it is actually a house with a back yard and not an apartment 3. Winners would sign an agreement to allow a certain amount of people to the show (say 50) 4. Winners would agree to let the band crash there the night of the party We would bring our own sound. Nothing would be DI, it would be very raw. Small amps, small cabinets, just enough to play the show. Ideally, we would do all the tickets presale and have a list at the door. We could always charge cash at the door too. Because of the intimacy of the show, and the uniqueness of the experience, we could probably get away with charging a good amount. Something like $15 (of course it would be a suggested donation). The party would be BYOB. How cool would be be to have a band you like just throw a house party at your house?! No one has to drive, everyone could party, no stress of dealing with venues or promoters or hotels or anything else except the van and the gear. It would be a one time thing, but I think it would be such an awesome experience for everyone involved.
