I have thought about my dad lately and not just today. He made mistakes and done lot of things I did not agree with at all. I miss the days we use to sit around and have mini Bible studies. Even though sometimes he was not the best person to be around, I am grateful and very blessed that God picked Johnny Pate to be my dad. Why? Because my earthly father taught me about my Heavenly Father. I use to be angry and hurt about some of the things he done and said to me and my mom, but when you claim Christ as your LORD and SAVIOUR, it is hard to hold onto that anger, pain, and hate. Through all the sorrow, pain, anger and hate he sometimes caused me, I found Jesus and accepted him as my Saviour because my earthly father chose to teach me about Jesus and take me to church. For that...I thank him.
