I have thought long and hard about this post as I know it may anger a number of my friends. I am a strong supporter of Israel and its right to self defence. I strongly believe that this conflict has been engineered by Hamas, which has turned down opportunities for a ceasefire and actually does a disservice to the people it claims to represent, especially its leader who stands with his people from the safety of Qatar. But I guess what I hope distinguishes me from Hamas is that I am also human and despite arguments that people may make about rockets being stored by Hamas in UN establishments, all of which I believe to be true, I cannot and will not attempt to justify, defend or mitigate the bombing of the UN school and the death it has caused. Sometimes you just shouldnt try and defend the indefensible. May God bless the souls of those who have died, from whichever side, as well as those who mourn them. There is a turning point in every conflict - I hope to God this is this ones.
