I have three pictures posted here: one was shot in Manakamana temple, Gokha and another was shot in Bagalamukhi Temple, Patan, The first picture is an example of people who are not well aware of trash management. You can see no one is using it as it is put there for demonstration. It was set by an NGO for securing clean environment through the trash management approach there. The second picture shows people are goofed up how to use well instructed and designed trash management services from Government. The government, on the other hand, did not collect it timely for proper use of this system. Third picture shows spilled off, there was negligence of changing the trash bag before it gets too full or even no trash bag inserted there. These three pictures proved me that it is market irrelevant since the users did not use the service provided to them. The project must be market relevant if invested. The investment did not benefit what we expected. I used to teaching technical government officers at Nepal Administrative college on project appraisal of investible project for market relevant. It is a ridiculous of knowing it. Proper awareness and implementation are not performed in both areas, so taxpayers’ monies are thrown down the drain. The key thing is government should go with management concept not the administration. For this, people in management background must be recruited in bureaucratic jobs, so they can implement efficiently to get the things done with the effort of the people. Thereby, it could result have good run for taxpayers’ money.
