I have to admit it. Ive never been a big Robin Williams fan. I never felt a connection like other people seem to have had. He always kind of bothered me. BUT, I do have a fond memory of him. When I lived in Los Angeles in the mid 90s, I worked at the Tower Records on Sunset Blvd. I saw multiple stars frequent that place, it became common. One day, though, I walked out into a pretty dark parking lot and almost ran into someone rushing across the pavement to get inside. It was Robin Williams. He looked startled and said Im so sorry. Excuse me. I said I almost just got ran over by Mork from Ork! and he smiled. He then went to the only guy we allowed to panhandle in our parking lot and handed him something and said stay warm tonight and hurried along. I went to my friend, the panhandler, and he just looked stunned. Robin had given him 100 dollar bill. I just had to think that he was a sweet, kind man which was rare in LA. But Ill never forget that his eyes really looked sad to me. RIP, good guy Robin Williams. Hope you found some peace.
