I have to agree GST is slightly better than SST. However, a tax is still tax, regardless of how much it will help the country, it affects the middle class. Back then in 2012, Italy increased their tax in order to solve the issue of national debt. They thought this will help the country. What they get in return? Massive inflation. France, second largest economy in Europe made a policy that reduces working time for workers. Since this reduces the productivity of the country, it affects their economy. So what they do? They tax the riches significantly. And what the riches do? They leave the country. See, I dont find tax helping the country. The government only knows how to spend money, not to generate it. So what you need to do? Educate yourself financially.
