I have to choose my words very carefully for this post. The Last Safe & Deposit Company will not be opening this weekend. The reason why is so silly that I don’t even want to get in to it. Just know that the room is ready and it’s really beautiful. I could not be more proud. In order to be allowed to open we need to pass a series of inspections. We passed all but one. The one we flunked, we didn’t really flunk. That situation was shocking to me and the experts that were there to witness this. I appreciate everything that my partners and City Hall have done to make sure we are ready. All it takes is one dude to halt the entire process and we ran into that dude. But he’s the dude so we will do what he asked us to do, in fact we already have. Our new opening date SHOULD be Thursday with an excellent band called Hayley Jane and the Primates. I am confident we will open that day. Heck, we’re ready to go now. Rather than vent anymore than I already have, I am looking forward and not back. What’s done is done. See you next Thursday.
