I have to get this off my chest. As rodeo queens, we are taught to be cautious what we put on social media and to make sure we are putting our best side forward. I very strongly believe that we need to remind parents and friends to do the same as well. Ive seen parents talk poorly about their children or share too much about personal things regarding their daughter and in my opinion, it can reflect poorly on someone who may do a great job for her community and rodeo. If you have a child or a friend that is a rodeo queen, please respect the fact that we are in the public eye and take our job as role models and representatives seriously. If the rodeo queen is putting their best face forward, make sure you are supporting them in doing the same. Just some food for thought :)
