I have to go off about this because its just so damn stupid and I cant even believe what I just heard. According to one moron on Facebook, if you are hispanic and do not speak/understand the language -then you are a fake hispanic. So in his head, the fact that im full blood puerto rican means nothing; im a fake hispanic because i cant speak Spanish and shouldnt be allowed to consider myself hispanic. When I was growing up, every friend I had spoke english. My mother also mainly spoke/speaks english around me. My other family members mainly spoke/speak english around me, so I never really picked up the language. I only speak broken spanish, but purposely. I also know many hispanic people who dont know spanish because they were raised in english speaking households. So how are you seriously gonna sit there and say something that ignorant and just flat out stupid? Honestly I dont even know why im surprised. Its Facebook.
