I have to laugh yet its serious the downturn in retail and pharmacy in Australia thats affecting our businesses. Its the perfect combination of negative elements across a number of our businesses that is making life testing right now to say the least! Its like I am standing in the middle of the road watching cars slam in to me and wondering how much the next one will hurt! Our goverment wants to save money but no one agrees with really any of their proposed cuts so ultimately they will have to raise taxes or GST! Many dont like our government and want a different one but to be honest we would still be facing the same budget deficits and problems. Regional towns like Rockhampton, Gladstone and Hervey bay have been hit hardest especially those towns reliant on the mining industry. It is an absolute bloodbath right now and ironically I see most growth from our businesses in Indonesia in the future and in Australia the strategy is hold the line and change to the new conditions by adding cafes in our retail shops and medical centres next to our pharmacies.So if you are finding it tough in business in Australia or anywhere really right now my message is you are not alone and dont be afraid to make drastic changes to the way you do things.
