I have to react to ECTA new statement regarding shared use trails in the St.Johns area. Newfoundland largest and highly funded trail organization has decided to spread misinformation to gain public support. the ECTA is 90% publicly funded with an yearly budget of 1 million dollars. The main point of misinformation is that mountain bikers want to use the East Coast trail. This is not the case, we do not want to use the trail. we are seeking access to the coastline areas that are yet to be developed. We also want to convert back one trail section that is 12km in length to accommodate many users. The ECTA attempt to block any other trail development other then there own is unfair to other users. Its time for people to look at the facts and react with a informed outlook.
