I have to say, Im disappointed that domestic violence is viewed as a problem when its victims are women, but when the victim is a man, its a joke. Ive known too many men in abusive situations, physical and emotional, that simply dont realize that women can be the abusers because society does not talk about. If someone tried to control who you see, controls finances in order to keep you dependent on them, threatens to kill themselves if you leave, puts you down, and demeans you, or ever physically tries to hurt you, you need to remove yourself from the situation. Im so tired of seeing my brothers suffer because society makes a joke of their pain.
