I have to say, Ive done some interesting reading today. And when I decided satanic plots, the Orion Nebula and whether or not 2 is a Prime number were all lost causes, I found this very interesting article. salon/2013/11/30/superheroes_are_a_bunch_of_fascists/ I immediately went on the defense... Partially because I like Superheroes, partially because I like to play devils advocate, but also because my dad likes to do that kind of stuff. Hes into apologetics, and arguments (real arguments, not IMRIGHTBECAUSEISAYSO arguments), and finding truth through logic. This post is for him. And whereas I was planning on voicing my opinions regarding superheroes and fascism in this post, I immediately stumbled across an article written by someone who not only voices my same opinion, but I feel puts it in far better words. theatlantic/entertainment/archive/2013/12/stop-calling-superheroes-fascist/281985/ So, do superheroes say that we need the biggest guns? That the best way to defeat evil is to crush it with sheer force? Or are they representations of the heroes we could all be, and show us what great responsibility power comes with, and how many ways we could use it? ~Iron Man PS: Yes, Im not on every day. Mornings have become a little sketchier for me than they used to be. I will do my very best, though.
