I have to say if put in that position I would have done the exact same thing... “I took several steps back, produced my sidearm, and informed him it was a bad idea and he didn’t want to do it, and he left.” I believe I can speak for the vast majority of concealed carry permit holders when I say that nobody who carries a concealed weapon wakes up in the morning hoping to use or even so much as draw it. It is there to serve as a deterrent if ever the need should arise for you to defend yourself, and God forbid, it is there to be put to necessary use if you or yours are under direct threat of death or great harm. As far as I can tell, this man did everything he should have. He didnt draw his weapon and immediately start firing, but rather gave a verbal warning to his assailant before resorting to deadly force. Sure, it was against company policy for him to have a gun while working, even given the potentially hazardous nature of his job (night shift at a convenience store/gas station in a neighborhood with a rising trend in armed robbery) but in the end - today hes still alive to talk about it. Anyone agree or disagree?
