I have to say, some points appear extravagant to a third party - TopicsExpress

I have to say, some points appear extravagant to a third party observer, hence, it is imperative to stress that the economics of running this ship are slightly more intricate than meets the eye in this article. For all I know this could be a character defamation attempt on the person of the chairman, but regardless of what it is - and why now - if the context of the message is true, then the message has to be further dissected. That said, yes! the company is in shambles, and has been so since the end of 2008. Yes! reckless spending, sky rocketing running costs, bureaucracy and conventional wisdom seem to be the driving forces at play. Im no good in numbers, knowing how delicate they are in this case, Ill refrain from presenting any. Irrational as it may be, Ill try to dumb down it in a metaphor to a grade where a 5 year old could understand the message. The company is relatively similar to a ship caught in unfriendly waters, which represents the economy, where tsunamis and huge waves have partially paralyzed the ships progress in the route to its goal. Surrounded by aggressive pirates with nothing to lose, who represent the slit throat competitions competitive advantage and barriers of entry. Over staffed cabin - management - and decision makers which led to the bureaucracy and inefficiency in operation, further immobilizing the ships progress. It is safe to presume that neither the captain - all three of them along the years from the period 2008 until now - nor his loyal assistants - i.e. heads of departments - have set their mind to repositioning the ship in chartered territory. They just cant seem to give up on their original route or plan. They still have not identified the situation as an emergency, after all, the company is on a credit binge and still nobody seems to highlight the debt associated with the losses. Worse yet, the operators of the cabin - or ivory towers - are operating independently and incoherently driven by personal gain, nepotism, and conflict of interest. The ones running the ship, and apparently they are many, are concerned with positioning themselves in a level of power to safe guard their presence and guarantee their relevance to the ship. Think of the resources wasted at this point, the redundancies and discrepancies arising in operations. All in all, the ship is still on a dangerous route to a destination unknown, toddling in an ocean of tsunamis while under the siege of pirate battleships equipped to handle the economic conditions. What do you think is gonna happen?
