I have to say something that bothers me. And I am just as responsible as many others. We need to maintain some decorum because Piper is NOT HOME YET. We all got giddy about the Judges ruling however COSR still may have a move or 2 legally. They can put up the bond and take this to the next level. -- But what I really want to say is this. I support Veronica Wagner Covatch and Michelles right to get their property back. This is a simple property rights case. If we make it about anything else we as a fancy lose. I know that Central Ohio Sheltie Rescue had done some good work in the past but not in this case. In this case it was very simple that they had a dog that the real owner was looking for, can identify and wanted back. COSR made this something other than ownership of the dog. Maybe sometime in the future COSR can do good work again for everybody but right now their actions are hurting themselves and making some people question how rescue should work. The other thing I dont understand is how the COSR supporters dont see how Pennys action affect them. It seems to me that Penny has this feeling after many years in rescue that ONLY SHE and she alone can determine the best place to send a dog to. God Forbid if any one of you that has received a dog from her and lose that dog and she gets it back, then she can determine your a bad home and keep the dog and re-home it. -- but I digress. So please ladies and gentlemen - -do your homework support the rescues that do a good job and dont support the others. I do think though that somebody - maybe the local Sheltie club COSSA should start another rescue to give people alternatives and give the govt. alternatives to Penny who obviously has developed some type of god complex that she can ruin peoples lives over this. Dont forget to support good rescues --
