I have to say that Im completely blessed to have Chris Duke as my love and husband. Despite his ridiculous schedule and the junk hes been through during this phase of training, he drove to Ft. Lauderdale yesterday only to turn around and drive us home today. On the way home he received a text that his flight was rescheduled to tomorrow so he has to double turn tomorrow after driving for two days straight. This man is incredibly strong and so patient and kind. We missed him terribly this week but feel full because God has truly blessed our family with friends and loved ones who ARE family. We are going to make it through this deployment and even though we will hate being apart and there will be very hard days, we know that we are strong in Christ. This trial is a refining so that when we are back together we are stronger. Will it be difficult? Of course. And we will have to work to be a couple and a family by being open, honest, and patient with one another. Praise God for His many blessings. I know that during this time we will be shown things we cannot explain and He will continue to bring people into our lives who will remind us of His faithfulness in ALL things.
