I have to share a funny thing that happened to me this morning. It is NON-dog related, so its fine if you just want to skip this post.I figured we hear about so much sad stuff, that it does us all good to laugh every now and then. OK- we have been asked a few times by our neighbors since we moved in last Fall to visit the local church. I finally found a dress, some shoes, a pr of panty hose and my 20 yr old half slip. (Better half than none right? even if the waist band elastic was a little iffy- sort of like mens old underwear elastic, ya know? I figured it would get me through one more wearing, even though I dont even remember the last time I wore a dress! I had all our clothes laid out last night. Then everything went smooth this morning. We got to the church, parked across the street and the sheriff deputy was assisting the pedestrians across. I thanked him and just as we were going up the front steps, I was unable to take a step. I looked at my feet and there pooled around my ankles was my half slip! I looked up and said Ronnie! He looked down and then kneeled as I stepped out of my slip, then he grabbed it up and stuffed it in my purse! I had been frozen-like I had no idea what was happening! The SMART thing to do would have been to step out of it, and in the next step just grab it up myself and kept walking-but then I never claimed to be SMART! If I was smart, I would have never put the thing on in the first place! We started giggling like two kids.I told him we needed to sit in the back in case I needed to make a fast get-a-way. He told me only about FIVE people saw me, and most of them were so old they could not see good. I told him it was more like FIFTY FIVE people as they were all letting out from Sunday school! He said That probably happens all the time I laughed back That in all the years I have been to church I have never seen anyone lose their undergarments on the front steps! He told me that had it been my underwear, I would have been on my own!! LOL So after all that, want to take a guess on what todays sermon was? Oh yeah- you got it! H-U-M-I-L-T-Y....... More like HUMILIATION! Lesson learned!! ;0) When we go back(and we will go back even after all this!) I think a change of hair style and color are in order, and Ronnie plans to grow a mustache! ;0)
