I have to share a great story....After our win last night, the team that Annas team beat was very upset and a girl came out of the locker room crying - without us saying anything Anna went up to her and hugged her and told her she played great! Then we left the tournament and drove straight home. We stopped for gas and coffee in Bakersfield. We went to a gas station with at least 50 pumps and no other patrons. Mark pumped the gas as I went in to use the bathroom. By the front tire of our car laid a wallet that Anna found and picked it up to discover that it had almost $200, drivers license, bank cards, everything that you would need and would not want to lose. She immediately told her father and then brought it to me. She could have taken the money out and none of us would have any idea. Anna and I discussed it and looking at the gas station attendants we were worried that they would keep the $$ so we decided to call her AAA card that was in the wallet and they left our name and number at their home. This morning I get a call from the wallets owner and she was so thankful for us returning her wallet - I had her speak to Anna since she found it. The lady insisted Anna keep $50 as a reward, and Anna said (very politely), Oh no thank you, I dont want your money - I want you to have your money and I am so glad you are getting your wallet back. The lady said she would include us in her blessings prayer. The son came and picked up the wallet from our house and said that they assumed they would never see it again - that it was gone for good, and we restored their faith that there is good in people. I am so proud of Anna and the strength of her character as well as her kind and loving heart....
