I have to share this story about the two most loving and brave 11 and 7 yr. olds I just met who recently moved in upstairs from me with there single mother from NY. I knew there was something special about these 2 albino sisters with disabilities and the youngest one almost blind, 2 days ago when i first met them. but didnt realize just how brave and special these kids really were until yesterday. I found out that the 11 yr. old not only looked different by being an albino girl but I found out that she was also diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and getting ready to get chemo and radiation for her 1st time . I found that her little sister, with her long albino white hair pulled back into a long ponytail, was actually not her sister.... but her brother who gets picked on and bullied from other kids on a daily basis by calling him gay and a girl but doesnt care because he is growing out his hair for his sick sister so when she loses her hair, locks of love can make an albino wig for her, something his mother couldnt afford to do because of the lack of albino hair. To me he is a true hero.Those 2 children have had a hard life from the start including getting picked on but that didnt stop this 7 yr.old boy. he decided to help his sister regardless of being teased more by growing his hair out to give his sister a wig and also help his mother at the same time. What a selfless, loving, brave little 7 yr. old boy! I knew they had a special aura about them when we first met but i never imagined just how unique and special they really were until yesterday and the funny thing about it is how much more happy and positive these 2 children are compared to children who are healthy and normal. Meeting these two kids made me open up my eyes to still seeing the beauty thats left in this world. I am so lucky to have this wonderful unique family as my neighbors, I cant tell you how much they changed me as a person and also my outlook on life.
