I have to snicker more than a little bit at this news: usatoday/story/news/politics/2013/11/16/obama-health-care-comment-republicans/3614039/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+usatoday-NewsTopStories+%28USATODAY+-+News+Top+Stories%29&utm_content=MyYahoo ... as it wasnt all that long ago that I might have said that people can put a fork in the Republican party (heck, I might have said just that during and soon after the government shutdown of a few weeks back). Seriously, they were all but dead and buried and yet here we are just a few weeks later and the President of the United States (President Obama) has serious egg all over his face, along with, as this article points out, many members of his party. I still hold that if the Republicans had been smart(er) they would have absolutely avoided having or letting the government shutdown happen and instead would have let nature run its course. If they had, and things had turned out as badly as it seems that they are in terms of implementing Obamacare, the GOP would have been sitting pretty telling voters to just hang on, help is coming via the next election when the GOP picked up seats at Democrats expense. Instead, they (the GOP) shutdown the government because they were hell-bent on stopping Obamacare. Uh, OK, they were that, but... they werent ready to truly follow through on not raising the debt limit, and they had no alternate plan when it came to their demands. It was all or nothing, Obamacare must go, and they were never, ever, ever going to get that. Again, if they had that much confidence that it was such a train wreck, they should have been sitting back waiting for it to happen, silently wishing and hoping that it would fail, and readying some strategy and plans for how they could *really* improve it or scrap it. Thats the big problem though, they want it gone and they cant really get rid of it. They wont accept trying to fix it because that would just mean that their archenemy got a win that they could prevent. Sadly it all leads me back to the thought that they all must go. Please, please, please in the next election #FIRE_THEM_ALL
