I have to vent Im afraid! I have had my fair share of crazies applying for my foster dogs these past few months and I have to admit I feel like I have had enough! I have had men apply for a dog who just simply doesnt like men and his bio plainly states that. I had one family apply for a dog without completing the adoption form and insisting that I let them know whether they are cleared to adopt so that they can build a fence! REALLY??.. I just dont know what to say about that one!! I have had people put false information on a couple of the applications thinking that I wouldnt check everything. And today was the limit!! I have had enough of offering people help and having it blow up in my face because they dont even bother to ask, they just assume things. I find myself at that cross roads where I am seriously thinking of quitting it again. I wish I could be positive tonight but I am not. If I quit I would have a cleaner house, more time on my hands, more time spent with my own animals, have more money, be able to plan a longer vacation etc. Dont get me wrong but I have just had enough of one thing! PEOPLE!! They ruin everything!! I look at the little dogs that count on me and realize that I cant quit! I just wish I could find the right families for them. I have done everything by the book because I wont compromise my dogs which means reference checks, vet checks and home visits. I have wasted my precious time on time wasters. However, I have had some wonderful adoptions recently and one lady tell me that it wouldnt be fair to little, deaf Max for her to adopt him because of her children and his special needs. She was concerned about him and his well being. This lady and others like her make this worthwhile so of course I wont quit. I have just had a run of bad luck lately and need something positive to happen
