I have tried for many years to piece together my horses full history. I have only bits and pieces. He died last week and our hearts are broken. I want more than ever to find out his beginnings. Heres what I do know: He apparently was born on the Peninsula, possibly Homer. He is a Quarab, and his name is Mid Summer Nights Dream. Summer He was purchased as a youngster by Laura, who owned Echo Lake Feed. She loved him dearly but was a little intimidated by him, and he wasnt finished. Then she grew very sick with cancer and died. He went to a son or daughter of hers, who (hearsay) sent him to Anchorage to a lesson barn, or something like that. He came back to the Peninsula and we bought him from Jim Crawford. That was 2005. We arent sure of his age, it depends on who you talk to. But approximately 24-27. (Equine dentist suggests) He is a bay gelding with a white star and one white half pastern on back left. If anyone knows who his sire or dam might be, please let me know, or if you know anything about him.
