I have used the addition of chains for accommodating resistance in strength programs in the past with great results. They are a good tool for addressing weaknesses at various points in the strength curve. Today I used them in a HYPERTROPHY workout. Each triset ended with a bench press with chains. The chains made the bench press harder by providing a maximum amount of tension throughout the entire repetition as the weight of the bar increased at the top of the press when more links were off the ground.
