I have watched some seriously great movies lately and I really want to share my experience. So here is a little review of one of them. “Get On Up” Chadwick Boseman delivers an Oscar-worthy performance as the godfather of soul, James Brown. This movie is filled with all the classics that you forgot you loved. Groovy, Funky Soul from start to finish. The story cuts back and forth between different times of James Brown’s life, which at first seems a little confusing, but at the end the film manages to wrap it all up in a beautiful bow in what feels as the telling of a full life. The film isn’t perfect but as a testimony to how much I loved the music and performances in this movie, I can say that I watched this movie four times in one week and loved it more with every viewing.
