I have wonderful news to share now that Im not afraid to jinx it. I have luckily found a wonderful apartment to move into, and its perfect for me and the pets. I will be sharing a spacious 3-bedroom Bushwick apartment - a mere block away from Maria Hernandez Park - with a sweet lad and lass. I have the basement floor, and its not at all depressing. It is just the right large size, with plenty of room to fit my own divided living room/office and bedroom, and I also have my own half-bath. (Its practically an apartment in itself.) And heres the best part: WE HAVE A BACKYARD. Why hello there, Summer of BBQs and hammock lounging. I also have my own private door to the yard, so that #CharleneDog will be able to reach the backyard without inconveniencing either of the new roommates. The yard needs a little sprucing and a green thumb, but Im looking forward taking that on as my Springtime project. Im also looking forward to having roommates again after living alone these last few years, as it will be nice to have built-in people to cook for instead of tossing out and wasting leftovers. Cue major sigh of relief. Thank you to all of my friends who lent a hand in trying to help me find a safe, new home. I love you all, and Im glad that you have my back. If I havent hugged you yet, do me a favor and hug yourself for me until I get the chance. The only part Im not looking forward to? That level of hell called packing, because it starts this week.
