I have worked with women who have been the victims of domestic violence and I understand how complicated it is and how hard it is to leave for many reasons, safety being paramount since a woman is most likely to be killed when she leaves her abuser. I have learned to be ready with accurate information and resources so that when a woman comes to me and is ready to go, I know what to do. Untill then, I listen and provide support and compassion.
