I have yet to comment on the controversy involving Erika Baldwin - TopicsExpress

I have yet to comment on the controversy involving Erika Baldwin and myself, and our schools decision to support our journey to Miss Virginia USA. However, in light of the recent wordpess document that was released, I will say this: I do NOT compete in pageantry for the attention of men. I compete for ME. I am NOT unhealthy. I eat well, work out, and take care of my body. My love for fashion is NOT unhealthy, and does not make me any less of a feminist - not all feminists look and act the same. I DO spend the majority of my time as a titleholder giving back to my community and mentoring students. I DO believe in female empowerment. I will NOT stop walking in my purpose because I aim to please God, not man. To the anonymous students who keep perpetuating the myths surrounding pageantry, and attacking Erika and I, please stop. As a feminist, I am free to embrace every aspect of my womanhood. Feminism and Femininity can co-exist. I am happy to have a personal conversation with you about your feelings and beliefs. You are more than welcome to accompany Erika and I on our next appearance, if you would like a better understanding of what we do. Virtual bullying is not acceptable, and will no longer be tolerated. Today, I am taking a stand. I am #propageant and I am not ashamed. thatpageantarticle.files.wordpress/2014/11/letter1.pdf
