I havent been able to cool the jets. I will be writing a blog of it called - Thats Quite Enough Taz.... It is quite enough because some of us, we want peace. We want peace and will sacrifice no more for it. That doesnt mean the oppressed becoming the oppressor. And believe you and me - I know what security and safety of my nation and its members really means - deeply and meaningfully. It is quite enough Taz when people come open hearted, with their hearts on their sleeve to be eviscerated. That is dishonourable battle. Your ancestors left the room. Not one person came there with anything but a new beginning on their mind from that end of the deal. One can expect some edginess yet, there was no need for the blindsiding of it. That is warrior? Whose tradition and custom is THAT one from? That is along the same line as hiding in closets when attacked by the enemy. It is quite enough to save that for the real offenders - security - primarily MALE, except the women who have to try five times harder to get half the respect. Do we know a thing or two about that? Did you see those male guards puffing themselves up to maximum size playing the God like role on the Gary video. I didnt see Olympia in the video, did you? If you didnt then really, it is quite enough. Asking her to be THAT responsible for a thing, she has not likely done, may I say once again - it is quite enough. It is quite enough to see the pipe. On the ground in a place of commerce. It is quite enough to burn the sage without sending your scouts and diplomats to share the protocol. You see, these folks just dont know what they dont know. And admonishing them for that...that triggered LOTS of folks in that room. Took me to a couple really fugly places and you took me there with this energy of vendetta. Smart people left the building before it was done. I was busy holding up the woman you were directing all your hate to. Fierce compassion right. That is what it is. It is quite enough you brought all of us along on this abuse of culture, custom and tradition and crossed lines I wouldnt even speak of. It was not love you brought to the floor. You do not speak for the values I live; not with that demonstration. I am not sure yet how you come to speak for Treaty 6. Regardless, it is just enough. It is quite enough that you spoke down to a man who lead an army of peoples to a country that divested itself of tarsands because they believed his traveling road show - it was killing people and culture. You claim to love the Denendeh. That was love? Tell me how a man who has a solution to what is killing us, you might want to demean? Devalue. Protocol. His name isnt Mr. Erasmus to you. Clearly you didnt like what he had to say. That was your opinion. What he said was, without us, the settlers would not have lived. Even Harpers beloved Franklin find speaks to the settlers utter stupidity in the elements they found themselves in. That is pretty much true across the big Island we share. It is quite enough all those who left there feeling re-traumatized again....triggered into a state of fight, flight or freeze or appease. It is quite enough that people already angered got their fires stoked again, and if you had been thinkin instead of stoking your ego you might be a wee bit concerned what that might mean for their addictions and the potential risk associated with the heightened emotion and the trauma the entire deal brings us all. It is quite enough because that is not the start of closure that. It is quite enough Taz, I mean really..... And with that, I am done with this. I have not forgotten my teachings today and I am so grateful to ceremony with strong women of knowledge and love. I think I did my ancestors pretty okee dokee with my end of this gig today. :)
