I havent been doing the thankful thing this month, but I just wanted everyone to know just how thankful I am for William Billy Collier. No he isnt perfect, nor is he a model, neither am I, but I am thankful for him. Years ago I never dreamed I would be able to hunt a deer and kill it. I just always helped clean and cook the meat. He got me in to hunting and I must say it is probably the most rewarding thing I have done. No not actually killing it, but sitting in one spot for hours, hearing the leaves crunch, your heart racing not knowing what is walking up. Then if it is one worth harvesting, you have to remind yourself to breath slow and make sure you get a good shot. When you get that shot, then you wait for awhile to hunt it down. You start becoming an Indian, tracking the tracks of your deer( being non graphic here). Then you find it, you and only you has to work to clean it,, cut it up, and put in the freezer. Now this is where I feel accomplished. That deer I waited on for hours and worked so hard to put in the freezer is now feeding my family tonight and I know I worked hard at it and just didnt walk in a store and buy it. Thank you Billy for introducing me to something that I never dreamed I could do.
